| Family Divorce Mediation
is the court-approved process which allows the two of you to determine solutions best suited to
your individual family, rather than having a Judge determine the
outcome. Because you both participate in the agreement, you are personally invested in making it work. Child visitation is viewed as shared parenting time and is designed to optimize both parent's time with the child. Family Divorce Mediation is less costly in time, money and emotional stress than litigation through the Courts. Family Divorce Mediation is completely confidential other than what is submitted to the Judge in writing. You both can avoid public record disclosure of personal problems and how they are resolved. Family Divorce Mediation benefits children by reducing conflict at home. Family Divorce Mediation helps you separate your spousal roles which are ending, and your parental roles, which will continue. Agreements are written in common language that both of you understand, we use your words, not difficult-to-read legalese! Family Divorce Mediation helps post-divorce couples feel comfortable returning to the less expensive, less argumentative alternative to Court if their agreement needs revision. You DO NOT need a Lawyer when you use a Mediator. You are welcome to bring your lawyer, although many people do not. You both have the option during or at the conclusion of the mediation to consult with specialists, i.e. your lawyer, stockbroker, CPA, mortgage company, etc. before the final agreement is filed in the court. Follow-up consultations are encouraged if questions arise during the mediation session.

Family
Divorce Mediation helps resolve child custody issues, as well
as child and spousal support, and property and debt division. An agreement
is drawn up and signed by both parties, their attorneys if they wish to
have attorneys, and the mediator. The Mediated Settlement Agreement is
then filed in Court ending the need for further lawsuits, hearings,
trials, etc. It is a legally binding contract that ends the disagreements. Mediation is required by Law in the State of Florida before a divorce can go to trial. It has been proven to be an effective way to solve disputes while saving the parties time and money. Mediation eliminates the court costs, lost time from work for hearings and lawyer's fees associated with litigation. No Retainer Is Required! A completely mediated divorce agreement with forms for filing starts at $800 for the minimum three hours. Court filing fees and attorneys fees would be in addition. If needed, additional hours are billed at $200/hour. Revisions Can Be Made to Existing Divorce Agreements! The hourly rate is $200/hour for addendums/revisions to existing divorce agreements, adjusted child support, change in visitation, etc. This fee is customarily split between the parties.
The result is a legal agreement which spells out the terms of the contract between two parties. The role of the impartial and neutral Mediator is to facilitate the resolution of a dispute. It is an informal and non-adversarial meeting. The Mediator guides the parties toward resolving problems and disagreements. Relevant information is presented which may include budgets, business records, tax returns, property valuations, and children's individual needs.
